Just to make this quick...first thing's first: I finally added that recipe for my salad - check out the Key Eats menu link! On another note, I started taking a BCAA powder supplment (mixed with water) Saturday, Sunday, Monday ... I learned something over those days. (Heads up - gets a bit detailed / personal)
I need to stay away from items that I can taste the sucralose in. LISTEN TO YOUR STOMACH PEOPLE! I knew that I typically have adverse reactions to sucralose, and my stomach usually warns me by churning a bit like I ate something that was just wrong (no, not bubbly or gurgly or anything terribly obvious)... but I wasn't quite expecting this to happen.
(here comes the personal detailed stuff)
I used to drink energy drinks quite often. The caffeine (amongst other things) would eventually mess with my mental state and make me easily irritable after consumption for a long period. The sucralose typically would mess with my bowel movements - leading more towards a, well, liquid state of things - not full on diarrhea, just very loose / liquidy. This time around, I basically got backed up and quasi constipated from it.

With that said, I wasted $50 because I'm not going to touch that stuff again. That last bit was and is not something I am mentally or physically comfortable with.
This is not to say that everyone will react the same - this is just my experience. Will I ever try other BCAA supplements again? Maybe. There are pill versions w/out the added crap in it - which I knew is what I should have used.
Anyway, learning experience....and not I begin a few days of healing (hopefully) as my other hip is currently acting up (go figure), and my right shoulder really isn't happy. So, between the "sore" joints and the above scenario, it's been a rough start to the week.
