Change of Plans

Okay, so I stated a couple Sundays ago, that I was going to rotate between DDP Yoga workouts and cardio (with possible weight lifting).  I did that last week - minus the weights.  ...and I came to a conclusion...

I did the following workout routine last week:
  • Monday - DDP Yoga - "Fat Burner"
  • Tuesday - Gym (treadmill for 22min)
  • Wednesday - DDP Yoga "Energy"
  • Thursday - Gym (treadmill for 22min)
  • Friday - DDP Yoga - "Fat Burner"
In all honesty, when I woke up this morning, I felt like it had been two weeks.  Maybe it was a mental excuse.  I didn't like the above mentioned routine, so whatever...  I decided to change things up this week.

First of all, I had an extremely lazy weekend - (cop out spoiler) I also am on-call until tomorrow morning, and so going for a 3+ mile walk doesn't exactly work very well.

The routine I'm going with for this week is as follows:
  • Monday - MY 'mini' workout routine (full on 30+ min mixed calisthenics and cross-training resistant bands)
  • Tuesday - Gym (cardio + maybe weights) Lot of stretching
  • Wednesday - MY 'mini' workout routine (full on 30+ min mixed calisthenics and cross-training resistant bands)
  • Thursday - Gym (cardio + maybe weights) Lot of stretching
  • Friday - MY 'mini' workout routine (full on 30+ min mixed calisthenics and cross-training resistant bands)
What spurred this new / backtrack routine?  I'm getting more stubborn about the weight loss and physically feeling good as if I'm gaining some strength and toning up - plus I want to make up for my lazy weekend.

Status update on me:  Saturday I weighed in at 196.1 - new low for this year.  My main (big) meals for the weekend, consisted of a couple mini turkey burgers, and home made sweet potato fries (shout out to ObeseToBeast for the excellent idea / recipe for the fries - I used Apple Cider Vinegar instead of PAM).

Burger fixings:
  • GF ciabatta bun
  • mashed up avocado on both top and bottom buns
  • spinach on the bottom bun
  • ground turkey paddy - with jalapeno and red chilli pepper diced up mixed in
    • cheddar goat cheese thin slice melted on top
  • couple slices of tomato, some special ketchup, and horseradish stone-ground mustard
Anyway ... I did that for lunch on Sunday, and I was pretty much full almost the entire day.

Time to get rollin' for the day!  Keep your head up and keep your grind on!

The burgers-n-fries as mentioned above

Update 06/12/2018:  Adjusted what I'm doing on Tuesday and Thursday...part of it may be due to the pager waking me up last night and screwing up my sleep - was way too tired (and sore) for doing much today.... #minorCopOut 😕
