I had planned on getting up this morning and going to the gym and jumping on the treadmill for about 15 minutes. But didn't make it.
Unfortunately, I was up late due to the On-Call pager and a SNAFU that happened earlier in the day but was never resolved properly...so I get to deal with it after hours, when I should be in bed. So close to 10pm I finally get to sleep, nice and frustrated due to the overall situation (the fact that I'm batting cleanup once again, the fact that I'm about 90-120 minutes past when I try to go to bed) .... I knew I'd be sleepy in the morning...
Well come time for my alarm to go off (adjusted to 4:22am)...and I notice that I've barely moved from the position I feel asleep in. That's a sure fire sign of some hard sleep and being simply fried. Anyway, woke up dirt tired, felt my body was a tiny bit sore from the DDP Yoga, and decided that at least for this week, I would spend Tuesday and Thursday just doing some some simple stretching / hand rehabbing. No point in hopping on a treadmill and jogging for the first time since spring/summer 2017 while feeling like a zombie.
I'm a bit disappointed and frustrated about this. But oh well. Time to make the most of things and just not slack off - that's the important part. Gotta put in work some how.
"So what's the bonus to all of this?"
Well...it's unrelated(ish)... Anyway, I weighed in this AM at 204.5 lbs. The significant part of this is that I haven't been this low since March or April of 2017. #2018milestone ...granted, almost every day, is a milestone. Not just a positive outlook, truth.
With this bonus , I'm less disappointed about not making it to the gym this AM. Things tend to work out ya know?
....now I just need to get my mind right at work.....talk about a daily battle.
