Sweet! You're actually interested! 😁
How am I doing on my weight loss journey? I went to Oregon around 178-179 area, and came back around 180-181, I believe. Which is not a bad thing all things considered. The past couple of a weeks, I've been fluxing between 176-178. Legit. Several days in a row, my weight didn't budge an ounce - according to the scale.
How goes the diet and exercise portions? I've mellowed down on both fronts, honestly. My body was getting irked at me - consistently sore shoulder, hands, etc.. etc.. I also realized that as long as I was not binge-ing out on food, I could veer a little bit from the straight and narrow hardcore "chicken, rice, broccoli, salad, turkey burgers" ... Granted, I've essentially just incorporated my own mix on fried egg sandwiches, and taco salads - which I love both of those! Exercise wise, like I said, I've managed to get some real time in the gym. What does that mean? I've been hitting the weights - mostly spent time rehabbing myself, not pushing myself. ...and I've noticed a difference. I'm slowly building up the weights, and pushing it a tiny bit, but it's not a daily grind.
What's on the horizon? I have a surgery coming up this Thursday (the 27th), to have an avocado sized lypoma removed from my left side; along with a couple teeny ones - left and right side. I'm hoping the doc will be able to hook me up with a picture of said lypoma, so I can post it and share (yea, I know...gross....but aren't you the tiniest bit curious too?). Anyway, that's going to sideline me for a few days at least....and who knows when I'll be able to get back to real-world exercise . I say real-world exercise, as in going to the gym and lifting, or doing my heavy stretching, etc.. As soon as I can, I'm going to start going for walks again, and slowly start building myself back up. I'm not looking forward to starting over.....but I am looking forward to getting this giant lump removed.
With that last section mentioned...I am also planning on putting together a static page for this blog, essentially acting like a slide-show / picture gallery. "Of what?" - of myself, of course. :) .... Where I was (weight / physical wise) over the past couple of years, and leading up to where I am now. I want to share the physical change I went through. I recently pulled up a picture of me from 2016 shortly before I started my "2016 stint" of getting my life together. I was stunned by what I saw....I knew I was overweight, and I know I've lost a lot since then.....but wow...I didn't remember looking that bad/big. (hey, I'm talking about my past self - I'm allowed to be critical of things)
That's my bit for the day. I hope you're not totally disappointed by this update. 😉
Keep your head up, and keep your grind on - it will pay dividends, I promise!
