Yes, I'm considering this a milestone for 2018. I finally Broke the 190 barrier, with minor gusto! Yea...that's all I'm putting for a teaser... :)
Quick Disclaimer: You shouldn't put a lot of stock in "day-to-day" weigh ins. It can have a bad psychological effect. It can make you think that you're doing something wrong, which could lead to you convincing yourself to do stupid / unhealthy things.
Quick Rebuttal: For me, I look back on what I had been eating, how I've been exercising, and I typically learn the dos and don'ts and then move along. Granted, I also know and understand that I won't see a lot of change from day-to-day, and in some cases I will see my numbers jump up -- this is typically followed by a significant jump down. So, I do my best not to stress about it - but occasionally it does get to me too; so I every time my numbers don't meet my expectations, I remind myself of all of the above, and reflect on my laziness and over eating (99% of the time this really is the case - I will occasionally eat way more than I've outlined - i get hungry , and I will occasionally (see last week) be lazy on the exercise front). I'm not just playing mind-games with myself.
Without further rambling....
Tuesday Weigh-In (yesterday) : 190.7
Significance: The day before I was at 190.1 .. also, on Monday (day before), I did a pretty solid workout at home in the morning, and then jogged /walked just over a mile at lunch. I did, however, eat more than I normally would - burned quite a few calories IMO, and thus I was hungry - and just couldn't satisfy myself (the sad part, I think a lot of it was I just wanted something to chew on, and something salty / sweet half the time).
Wednesday Weigh-In (today) : 189.2
Significance: Do I need to explain this? This is one of those dramatic drops right after the weight goes up. I was a lot more on point with my eating habits yesterday. I did a milder version of my workout (attempting to put in the same workout each day - just not as strenuous ), and I did not jog. However, I also did not over eat like Monday.
The Take Away: It's all about finding balance. Exercise and eating habits. My body is pretty broken, so I'm teetering a lot lately. Each person is different, so each level of balance will be different. But that's what it really boils down to.
...speaking of balance, etc.. Time to tackle my workout (or at least mega stretching - I probably should have eased back into this workout before attempting it 'daily' )
Keep your head up, and keep on grindin'!
